My Seattle client’s 1980s-era condo was in desperate need of updating. She wanted a light, airy, Zen feeling in her home along with a more open layout — which can be challenging in condos because the plumbing stack cannot be moved. Additionally, as a collector of books and art, the client needed more storage space.
We completely redesigned the condo, modernizing the kitchen, bathrooms and storage. When we found that the main plumbing stack was behind the sink in a wall we wanted to remove, I adjusted the design to include floating shelves and tile on the part of the wall that needed to remain. I also worked with the client to help her select carpet, hardwoods, fixtures, cabinets and other furnishings that suited her tastes.
“The result was an elegant and comfortable home that I absolutely love. I would highly recommend Amy for a remodeling or decorating project and would definitely use her interior design services again.”
