Classically Redesigned - 1_Kitchen_AFTER

This couple loves to prepare meals together, but a closed, dark space made it seem as if there were always too many cooks in the kitchen. They wanted to open up the kitchen for better views and better flow, giving them the ability to cook as a couple while entertaining guests.

We removed the peninsula to create an island, providing seating while allowing continuous flow and movement throughout the space. The corner window, which offered an uninspiring view of the neighbor’s house, was unnecessary; we added more cabinetry and storage there, while increasing the size of the main window to let in more light and offer views of the back yard.
